79°F in the shade… (529)

… just kidding! There’s snow in Brittany too. The world wide web must be groaning under a heavy blanket of snow pictures today.

Our 6 year old puppy

It was apparent that the snow had arrived as soon as I woke up this morning without even looking out the window. The air inside the house had that damp tinge associated with snow outside. Then, upon listening closely, the scurrying sound on the roof above the bedroom confirmed snow was all around. Half an hour later I was tramping across the slightly arctic fields of Plouyé with an excited five year old in tow… this excitement waned slightly as he realised quite how far away our 4×4 owning neighbour is on foot! It’s the end of term ‘spectacle’ at school today though, and the show must go on…

Having delivered the budding thespian, trudged the couple of miles back again and fed the animals, it’s finally time for coffee and breakfast. In an hour I’ll have to set off on foot for school again, so I’m guessing rambling will replace gardening today…
